ACCURACY, RELIABILITY AND RESPONSIBILITY
Slippery Fish is maintained by the Wiltshire Children & Young People's Services Partnership ("the Partnership"). While every effort is made to make sure the accuracy and reliability of the information held on it is of a high standard, neither the Partnership nor any of its members can be held responsible for any loss, damage or inconvenience caused as a result of any error or inaccuracy within these pages. Furthermore, the Partnership rejects the validity of any warranty or representation, expressed or implied, about its accuracy, completeness or appropriateness for a particular purpose.

The Partnership is not responsible for the contents or reliability of any linked websites and does not necessarily approve of the views expressed in them. Listings or details of any organisation or agency shall not be taken as an approval of any kind. The Partnership cannot guarantee that the links within the site will work all of the time and has no control over the availability of the linked pages.

EMAIL SECURITY
Communication by Internet e-mail is not secure as messages can be intercepted and read by someone else. Therefore we strongly advise you not to e-mail any information which if it is read by other people would be likely to cause you distress. Writing to our postal address (Slippery Fish, County Hall, TROWBRIDGE, BA14 8JB) is a more secure way of communicating with us.

Any e-mail including its content may be monitored and used by the Partnership for reasons of security and for monitoring internal compliance with the office policy on staff use. E-mail monitoring / blocking software may also be used. Please be aware that you have a responsibility to ensure that any e-mail you write or forward is within the bounds of the law.

The Partnership cannot guarantee that an email or any attachment is virus free or has not been intercepted and amended and you should perform your own virus checks.

PRIVACY POLICY
The Slippery Fish website uses an Internet Service Provider (ISP). The Partnership does not generally store or capture personal information, although the ISP logs the user's IP address, which is automatically recognised by the web server.

You can visit the site and use many of the services without providing any personally identifiable information. It is only when you write to or e-mail Slippery Fish that you can be identified.

Cookies
The Partnership does not use cookies for collecting user information from the site and will not collect any information about you except that specifically identified below. Links to other sites are not covered by this policy.

What you are agreeing to when you write or send an email to Slippery Fish
When you contact Slippery Fish, e.g., through letters or emails, you are thereby giving the Partnership permission to display, collect, process and store your information.

The Partnership will not sell or rent any personally identifiable information to any non-member, or use the data for any other purpose other than that for which it was originally collected. This is in accordance with The Data Protection Act 1998.

What is personal information?
Personal data is any information about an individual from which the individual can be identified, i.e. name, postal address, email address, date of birth, photograph, video image, etc. Personal information also includes any written opinions about the data subject.

Your rights about personal information
You have the right to: be informed about the use of your personal data; gain access to, and receive a copy of your personal data; be told whether we, or someone else on our behalf, are processing your personal data and request a copy of your personal information.
Modification of data / information submitted
If information is sent to Slippery Fish, by doing so you are consenting to the storage of this information and if this information is sent in relation to the Clutching at Straws pages or Book Review pages, we reserve the right to adapt your information so that it is suitable for the website. We reserve the right not to publish information. On these pages, we will list only your first name and location. If you do not wish for this information to be displayed, you must tell us when you submit information.

Why do we collect information and ask for your feedback?
We ask for your feedback about the site in order to improve the site and help us to achieve our goal - to help young people find help in Wiltshire. We ask for you to contribute to pages such as Clutching at Straws and Book Reviews so that the site is more interactive and you can have more input. It is not our aim to collect personal information, but to collect information about services that are available to young people.

How long do we keep personal information and how can you access your personal information we may hold?
We delete personal information within one month of receipt and retain the content of messages only. Should you want to find out about the personal information we hold, please write to Slippery Fish, County Hall, TROWBRIDGE, BA14 8JB.
